Summer Entertaining Tips – Upgrade Your Decor

While any time of year is a great time for entertaining guests, hosting an event during these hot Texas summers can be a little challenging. To help you out with this, Shops of Southlake is sharing these summer entertaining tips to make your next shindig a breeze:

Summer-Inspired Dinnerware

You don’t want to put out your nicest plates for when you have a summer cookout, but that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with using flimsy paper plates. Nothing will make you seem more like a thoughtful host than to have some fun, summer-inspired dinnerware like the ones you can find Pier 1 Imports.

Cool and Comfy Outdoor Furniture

While the heat may be a bit smoldering, there really isn’t anything better than sitting out on your patio drinking some cool ice tea with your friends and family. But sometimes, even the coolest ice tea may leave you breaking up a sweat in your seat! Make things a little cooler with the help of breathable outdoor furniture so you don’t have to worry about a sweaty back stuck to your chair. This way, you and your guests can stay nice and comfy even when it’s a real scorcher.

Light Up the Night

Who says the party has to stop just because the sun sets? Summer is all about staying up late and living it up in the cool night air. Keep the fun going with your guests even when it starts to get dark with some outdoor lighting.

We hope these summer entertaining tips help you turn your plain jane backyard into an outdoor oasis where you can have friends and family over for plenty of unforgettable good times.
